MISSING VESSELS
FRUITLESS SEARCH FOR CREWS AND. AIRMAN. tßec. September 28, P. 35 p.m.) Sydney, September 28. Tho search for the missing crews of tho schooner Amelia J and the barquentine Southern Cross, also the missing aeroplane, 'Ims been so far fruitless. Tho steamer Melbourne, with a seaplane on board, started yesterday to search lx>tweon Sydney and New Zealand, and thence to Melbourne. A destroyer was dispatohed to-day to searoh for the nirnian. Information received by the agents of the Southern Cross leads to tho Ixv lief that the vessel has boen lost with a.ll hands. It is believed the barquentine struck Reid's Roolc and subsequently exploded.—Press Assn.
