PETONE CLUB. The twenty-seventh annual general meeting of the Petone Tennis Club was held in the Pelone Council Chambers lffofc week. About twenty members were present, and Mr. H. H. Parkinson occupied the chair. The balance-sheet lor the year nnded showed a very good position as regards finance. The election of officers resulted' as follows:—President, Mr. E. C. Kirk; vice-presidents, Messrs. Lodder, Fox, Mllwan. Hebb, Dr. KerrHislop, and • Father Queely; hon. secretary, Mr. H. G. Andrews; hon..treasurer, Mr. L. Marsden; hon. auditor, Sir. W. 1". Sturman; management committee, Messrs. Haslam, Duncan, Sturman, Parkinson,' and Naughton; ladies' committee, Misses King. Naughton, M'Kenzie. Curtis, and Mrs. Parkinson; selection committee, Messrs. Parkinson, Sturman and Duncan; delegate to the W.P.L.T.A., Mr. Parkinson. It was dccided: to have the official opening day on October 9.
