REUNION OF BANK OFFICERS

SOCIAL GATHERING AT DUSTIN'S. The bank officers, after enjoying a gamo of llugby in. the morning, assembled isi Duslin's, Cuba Street, Inst evening for their annual reunion, the first since 1913. Mr. E. B. iUgg, inspector IBank of New Zealand, presided, there were about a hundred bunk officers present, and it was noticeable that about half of them were wearing the returned soldier's badge. The captain of the winning team. Mr. J. Fuller, proposed the toast of "The Losing Team" m a brief but happy - speech, and was responded to bv Mr. H. M'Gregor (Bank of New South Wales), in the absence- of the captain of the team. "The Winning Team was also toasted,' and toasts and songs, recitations and music followed in quick order. There appeal's to bo plenty of musical talent among bank officers, lnei chairman, in his reminiscences, stated that he played football for the bank about thirty-five years ago. In thoso days they played at Newtown Park, and the match always drew a big crowd,' for it was "such a gentlemanly game. Wavers were very courteous to one another. Among the higher bank officials present were Mr. H. Buckleton, general manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Mr. J. B. Henry, inspector of the Bank of New Zealand, and Mr. P. M. Jcrvis, inspector of the National Bank.
