DRASTIC REDUCTIONS IN PRICES
BIG AMERICAN MOVEMENT. (Rec. September 26, 5.5 p.m.) New York, September 25. Reports from all parte ot the country that drastic reductions in the prices of all kinds of commodities, varying from lumber and food to automobiles and hides, are continuing. The reductions range from ten to fifty points. Publicists predict that a downward movement all along the lino will continue for some time. It is thought that tho prioes of newsprint paper will reach their highost levol some time in February, and will then decline—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Chicago, September 24. For the first time since 1917 corn (i.e., maize) line beon sold for less than a dollar a bushel. December deliveries were sold for 90| conts.-Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
