VOTING IN AUSTRALIA. Sydney, September 25. The Presbyterian General Assembly is considering a report on Church union. It shows that up to date CO per cont. of Presbyterians and 84 per cent, of Congregationalists aro in favour of union. The Methodist vote shows 29,942 in favour and 2742 against, for members; 4492 in favour and 491 against, for trustees— P"688 Aasn. HOSTILE AMENDMENT DEFEATED. (Reo. September 20, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, September 2G. The Presbyterian General Assembly, by 123 votes to 74, negatived an amendment disapproving of the proposed scheme for organlo union with the Methodist and Congregational Churches.
