THE MOANA TROUBLE
VESSEL STILL IN PORT. The Moana failed to get away on Saturday, no settlement being reached ro the iftsputo between tho firemen and stewards over tho chief cook. At eleventhirty on Saturday a large number ol firemen signed off the vessel's artices, and at ouo period during the day the Moana had practically no firemen. Jitforts to obtain sufficient men were not altogether a failure, and at about four o'clock tho vessel was only four or -live men short. She was to have gone out into tho stream and tho passengers were all on board when a hitch occurred and tho vessei - .* departure was postponed until noon to-day. *
