The first nnniinl meeting of the Berwas held on Wednesday Mr. 1, Dennett (patron) presiding o*er a good attendance of members.' Tin's cluu was founded lust year, and leased tho court laid down at tin Herhampore and tho membership has grown so rapidly (hat a limit had to be placed to it. This .has now 'been fixed at 30 and tho list is filled. Ten new members were elected at tho meeting. The 'opening day was'fixod for October 2. Tho following officers were elected:—Patron Mr. P. Bennett; president. .Air. G. W. Rev-vicw-presidenfs, Miss Denies, Messrs. F S. Hay and I'. C. Watt; secretary "and treasurer, Mr. ]J. W. • Bnrdj club caplain, Mr. P, C. Dewhurst; committee Misses F. Janson, 11. .Tmisoii; R M'Whirter, and Messrs. Dewhura't and Pi'itehard. The balance-sheet showed a credit of ,£l2 2s. .Id. Tho annual meoting of tlio Trinity Church Tennis Club was presided over by Mr. R. R, llornblow, Thero was a largo attendance of membors. It was decidod that this season the membership '¥ t l ° 5? Pavers, and that tho club affiliate with tho Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association. Tho opening day was fixed for Octobcr S. A silver challenge cup was donated by Mr. C. W. Martin, A motion of thanks was passod to the donor. Officers for the ensying .war wore elected as follow:—President, Rev. E. Drake; vice-prosideiils, Mewrs. C. W. Martin, J, Castle J. Campbell, A. ]f. llornblow, and H. J. Barley; secretary, Mr. H. J. Martin; treasurer. Mr. L. J, Roberts; committee, Mi saw G. Roberts, 15. Car:', and I. Martin, Mossrs. It. Hornblow, 11. Castle, mid J. Smith. Mr. R. Hornblow was appointed dolegato to the Lnwn Tennis Association.
