SEA TRAGEDY FEARED
FIRE-MARKED WRECKAGE FOUND.
VJobart, September 24. •®A- wireless message from King Island reports that a quantity of wreckage lias 1 ' come ashore, apparently from a vessel biirned at sea. It is supposed to be the barqucutino Southern Cross, which was en route to Hobart, with a deck cargo which included a thousand cases of benzine. The message makes no mention of tlio crew, numbering twelve, including Captain .Hodgman-Press Assn.
