THE CORINTHIC
* STRIKES HEAVY WESTERLY SWELL DUE AT NOON ON MONDAY A wireless message was received from the Shaw-Savill Hnor Corintbic yesterday stating that on Tuesilny, when 1701) miles away from tho New Zealand coast, tlie steamer struck a heavy westerly swell which reduced lier speed considerably for some hours. Tho messago stated that the vessel would reach Wellington about noon oil Monday next. If tho Corinthic arrives in time to berth at about noon the official landing of tho Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe, will probably take place as soon as possible afterwards. It is estimated that the formal reception of llis Excellency by tho Harbour Board and City Council at the wharf will not occupy more than three-quarters of an hour, which would leave ample time for His Excellency" to proceed to Government House for luncheon, and return to the House of Parliament for the swearing-in ceremony. It' the weather permits, that ceremony will take place outside the new Parliamentary Buildings, and should the weather prove boisterous, it will take place within.
