DEAL BETWEEN GERMAN AND AMERICAN COMPANIES. • Washington, September 20. understood that the United States Mail Steam Ship Company and the North Gorman Lloyd interests have submitted to. tho Shipping Board for consideration and approval a contract providing for tho joint operation of the vessels of both lines in passenger and froilght service between Germany and American Atlantic ports. It is believed that, ill many respects tho contract is similar to tho recent arrangement between tho Hamburg--Amerika Lino and the American Ship and Commerce Corporation. It is expected .that tho new tfeal will ihcludo services between Bremen and New York and Boston and Baltimore—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
