The newly-appointed Governor of Tabriz, who wa9 not recognised by the Democrats on arrival, is sending Cossacks into Tabriz. to attack the Democrats. The new Governor remained outside tho town. The Cossacks defeated the Democrats, wounding a hundred and killing fifty, including the notorious Sheikh who has been dictator in Tabriz since tho spring.
