6 j The arrangements raado by the Early Settlers and Historical Association tohold its winter reunion have had to bo considerably altered. His Excellency the Governor-General is expccted to arrive in Wellington on Dominion Day. Should this be so, it is proposed to tender him a civic reception in the Town .Hall in tho evening (the time nnd_placo intended for the reunion. Not wishing to postpone the reunion, the association requests that all members and pioneer settlers attend in a body and join in tho welcomo extended to Viscount .Tcllicoc. Arrangements have been made by which seats j will 1)0 reserved for pioneer settlers and tho older members of the association, j Tickets issued for tho reunion must be , produced to ensure • access to these. Should His Excellency bo late in_ arriving in New Zealand and the reception post- > pnned,. the reunion will be held as originally* intended. Can you invent a time-saving device?
