Fat cattle and Pigs, however, were in very short supply and met with a very buoyant market, a sharp advance in prices faking placo in both cases. Prime bullocks realised from .£2B to £$i 12s fid ; medium, .£2l, toi Ifcht a ,,d unfinished sorts, from 10s. upwards. lnniG heifers realised from .£2O to .£-'3 2s. Gd.: medium, ,616 to .£l9; licht and axed, ,£l3 upwards. Store Cattle.-A large yarding, the quality of which was an improvement on late yardings. A very nice, line from the. north was passed in, as it failed to realise t.uie owner's reserve, although values on the whole were well ud to last week's rates. , Sheep.—A fair yarding of mixed nunlity. a, total of 2223 head bein;r offered for sale. Competition was good at the opening of tho sale, and values were equal to those which ruled last week, but as the 6ftle progressed prices weakened somewbat, and the sale closed at prices a little easier than last week's rates. Extra "rjmo heavy-weight wethers made 595. Gd. to Gls. 3d.; prime, 455. to 555.; medium. SGs. to 435.: light sorts, to 315.: extra wimo 'heavv-weiirlit ewes realised up to 55s 9d.; prime. 425. Gd. to 50s. 9d.; medium, 3Gs. to tin. kl: light and aged, from 275. Cd. upwards. Pies.—A small varding. which met with the keenest competition ever experienced at Burnside. Suckers realised .£3 a head and baconcrs sold at up to 413 each. Best baconcrs, Is. 3d. to Is. 3ld. per lb., and best uorkors.from Is. Id. to Is. 4M. per lb.
