The first wicket fell for 185 runs in hinetythree minutes. Tho i-ccond wicket, Hobbs's. fell at M 7, after being ICG minutes at the wicket. Hobbs was brilliant, and made 215 in his best form. Russell made Si, Tyldesley G(i, Woolley 71, Holmes U, and Douglas 69 not out — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
