LORD MURRAY OP ELIBANK. , London, September 13. Lord Murray of Elibank is dead, aged 50.—iAus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. .[Lord Murray of Elijiank entered Parliament in 1900, and became Parliamentary Secretary i!o the. Treasury in 1910. He was Under-Secretary of &tato for India in the previous year. With Mr. Lloyd George and Sir Rufus Isaacs, lie was charged in 1918 with an improper action in connection with the purchase of Marconi shares, and his movements i'n the matiter formed a most interesting aspect of the prolonged inquiry, which finally re,suited in the official admission that tho parties had acted in good faith.] PIONEER IN USE OF X-RAYS. Sydney, Soptember H. Dr. Laurence Hereohel Harris is dead, aged '13. He was a pioneer in tho use of X-rays, and at She, New Zealand Medical Congress in 1913 read u noteworthy paper on tho use of the "opaquo meal" for examination in cases of gastrio and intestinal complaints.—Press Assn.
