COLUMNS OF INDIAN TROOPS IN MOTION CLEARING RAILWAY INTO PERSIA By Telegraph-Press Association-OopyrleM (Eec. September 12, 5.5 p.m.) London, September 11. The War Office announces Hint a strong column of Indian troops left Bnkuba to operate around the Persian railway. Another column left Kizilrobat and will operate towards the first column. Two other columns converged upon Shahrobau, which was relieved without resistance, resulting in the release of Mrs. Buchlanan, wife of a. British officer, and her companions. Tlio object of the expeditions is to clear the railway into Persia and bring the Persian camp at Kcrhtff. where British women nnd children are taking, Tefuge, into touch with Bagdad again. Tim Indian Government has accepted an offer by tho Maharajah of Kupiu'thalia to 6end his infantrv to assist m operations in Mesopotamia.—Eeuter.
