Hughes, to inquire into the proposal that wool should be mtulo available for scourers and manufacturers in. Australia, at world's paritv, has reported that the Federal Government sliould issue a proclamation that' it would be harmful to tho Commonwealth for sheepskins to bo exported unless they avo first oltcral to fclluvongers in Australia at current rates: also that legislation bo passed to provide work for tho fellmongering and taimife industries-Press Assn. Sydney, September 11. Tho Federated 'Textile Workers' Union is starting co-operative wool en mills with a capital of £200,000. Tie union has submitted a proposal to the Government for the right to manufacture police and Government uniforms, and the Government io favourable.—Press Assn.
