The latest official returns show that Germany is surrendering arms in accordance with the Peace Treaty. Twentyseven thousand guns have been surrendered already, and by November tliero will have been given up all except those allowed under the Treaty. Thirty million live shells and W,OOO rifles have been destroyed. Efforts are being made by tho authorities, who are offering rewards to secure large numbers of rifles which are known to be hidden. One hundred and thirty million rounds of small arms ammunition have been destroyed, but double that quantity still remains in the country—Reuter.
