LONDON WOOL SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limitcil, report having received the following cablepram from their London office, under date September i5:-"Wool sales closed, fairly maintained; 94,431 bales were offered and about 70,800 sold. English spinners and Continental buyers have been active, but the price is too high .for Bradford topmakers. As compared with last Bale s cloning rates merino fine creasy wools were 7j per cent, to 10 per cent, higher, fin* scoured merino wools 7J per cent, to 10 per cent, higher, also good 60-64 s merino wools of other deceptions unchanged. Superior crossbred wools, Hue quality, creasy, 5 per cent, higher. Avorage crossbred wools, lino quality, greasy, par to 5 per cent, higher. Crossbred wools, medium quality, greasy, unchanged. Crossbred wools, coarse, groaßy, were neglected, slipe and scoured crossbred wools, lino duality, unchanged. Crossbred wools, medium quality, scoured, 5 per cent, lower, and crossbred wools, coarse scoured, were neglected. The September sericß have been faced to open-on September a, with limit of 130,000 bales." The Bank of New Zealand has reocived the following advice from its London office, under date September 3:-"Tho market has dosed with good .demand or fine crossKb other crossbrods being neglected. Pries for 'uper merinos are 5 per cent hfgher compared with the opening of this series. Current prices are as follow:Super merino, 60-Ws. super, wwew.l Son 42d. to 4Sd.; inferior merinos, 60-64 s, rommo. average condition. 30d. to 34d.; common, a *, , 56 . s nverage condl- •"* ?M fo «" fine crossbred. For all other descriptions of wool market, shows no change. , Messrs. Agency Co., Ltd,, have received the following cablegram from their London lioubo, under date September 3:—"Wool Bales have closed. # Superfine merino is 7J per cont. and fine crosßbred 5 per cent, higher. There ia a Email demand. Other descriptions nominally unchanged."
