Tho Atlantus pumped air into the submarine, and sent out wireless messages. Another stenm ship stood by, and its engineer worked for eight hours with n hand tool, and cut a hole largo enough to release the crew, who were suffering from the effects of the bad air.—Aus.N.Z.
