BOYS' INSTITUTE CHURCH PARADE
Members of tho 17th Company, Institute Cadets, together with the Boy Scouts and other members of the Wellington Boys' Institute, attended divine servico at St. John's Churcli on Sunday morning. Headed by the Drum and Trumpet Band, the Senior Cadets, Boy Scouts, and footballers of the institute marched to St. John's Church, where they were received by the president, Mr. G. A. Troup. Mr. J. W. Butler, director, .was in charge of the parade; Lieutenant W, W. Button commanding the cadets, with Lieutenant F. H. C.'Smith second in command: Bandmaster A. Iremonger was in charge of the bugle band, and Assistant Scoutmaster Crane had control of the scouts. The Rev. H. W. Burridge, M.A., 8.D., delivered an address to the boys, takine as his subject "How He Got His Wings," with special reference to tho aeroplane flight on Saturday last. The speaker compared the remarkable control which the pilot had over bis machine to that of a lad who could control his temper undor all circumstances. The text of tho sermon was "How Waste Became Wealth," in which special reference was made to tlie work of tho institute.'wlueh he said was doing such a great work on behalf of the boys of the city. Tho speaker advised the congregation to visit the institute and see for themselves tho work that wns being done. The institution beinjr a undenominational one, the parade next year will be held at the church of another denomination.
