Cost of oare shows an mcrtnso of nearly 200 per cent on prewar pribes, and boats nearly 100 liei cent., so that it must be apparent that pre-war subscription be, insufficient to provide necessary, funds It has been decided" to erect a euitable memorial in the club house to those members who fell in tho Great War, and to .purchase a memorial cup to be competed tor annuallv : 'n a whaleboat race, the first of which should be held during .uext season.
