AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL STAFF
RESIGNATION OP TOWN CLERK. fly Telesrarh—Press AnsocliUon. Auckland, September 6. At the' conclusion of the meeting on Thursday evening last the City Council dealt in committee with a letter from Mr. H. W. Wilson, tendering his resignation as Town Cleric of Auckland. The resignation waß accepted as from September 30. 1921, leave of absence being granted from to-day till the expiry of his term. Mr. Wilson is a native of Duncdin, in which city/he spent twentytwo years on tho municipal staff, beginning as cadet and rising to tho position of acting-town .clerk. Be succeeded tho late Mr. P. A/Philips as Town Clerk of Auckland in 1900, taking up his duties in March of that year. The Mayor reported to tho council when in committee that there were several staff matters requiring consideration, and it is understood that tho council has under consideration further changes and a rearrangement of the staff.
