PRODUCTION OF NEWS PAPER
* FULP-WOOD IN ALASKAN FORESTS Seattle, September 4. Colonel Greeley, the nowly-appointed Chief Forester for iho United States, states that Alaska contains about a hundred million cords of pulp-wood, and can produce 1,500,000 tons of newsprint paper a year, which is virtually equal to tho amount the United States is now compelled to import from Canada. Two largo mills will, shortly be established m Mask.i for the production of paper — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
