The Prime Minister foreshadowed increased restrictions on building when. _ha was replying to an Auckland deputation yesterday. The deputation had suggested the erection of some public buildings in tho North Auckland district.

"I believe that, we shall have to impose some further restrictions on building." said Mr. Massey. "The cost of many buildings nt present is out of all proportion'to the value wb receive. lam inclined to believe that we are overtaking the housing shortage; that, at any rate, is the impression I have from the information placed before me. But much remains to be done."
