AC the Inst general election Mr. Williams, who stood as i* Government candidate, put up a spirited light against his strongly entrenched opponent, and won many friends in all parts of the extensive electorate lie wiw able to visit in the t/ino at his disposal. He is already well known over a considerable part of tho electorate, and in most popular where ho is best known.
