The thirteenth annua! meeting of the Eastbourne Bowline- Club was held ill the Eastbourne BorouHi Chambers on Friday, the retiring nresident (Mr. H. \Y. Sh-irtO in the chair. The annual rcnort and balance-sheet were reviewed and adopted, a vote of thanks to rctirintr ofljeers bciiiß placed on record. The recent, loss to club membership by the death of Mr. Charles ilussell was the subject of much fccliiifr reference, the late Mr. liitssell hav inz (since the club's inccptionl been a central figure in all its activities and a socially popular member wliofc demise was universally rccretted in bowline: circles ncncrally. Munro, \V. Kidlcr. and C. Boss: delegate to centre. Mr. N. ,T. Benninprton. Mr. 11. W. fihorlt, who has held office as nresident for the past three years, assured the new president. Mr. T.evi, a 'pleasant year of office, and the support of an energetic executive in advancine; the social 'and financial status of the club, whoso present financial position was admittedly sound, but could do with as much increased energy us nossible in makiue; It a still worthier institution.
