STOCK SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. By Teleeranh-l'r'w Association.' Auckland, August 30. A fire occurred last night in Arch. Clark and Sons* shirt and collar factory in Grev Lynn. It was confined to a part of tha building, which was not badls burned, but the stock, valued at .£20,000, sustained serious damage' by firo and water. The cutting-room, where tho fire started, was practically gutted. Tho insurances are: ,t'20,000 in the Now Zealand and South British offices. The factory employed about 400 people, mostlv girls and women. It is understood that the firo will not interfere to any great extent with their work. Bb Prepared.
