In reference to a telegram yesterday stating that some of the West Coast coal miners had decided to "go slow" as a method of forcing tho Government to mako the Taratu and Green Island coal companies observe i'lie conditions of the national agreement, these companies deny that they are breaking the agreement) at present. The question is really concerning what wns tho pre-war rate of pay. The companies though',l that the matter was settled by the Disputes Committee in June, but since then tho miners have opened it up again.
