The.great Clydo industries are practically at a standstill as a result of a twenty-four hours strike against high rents. A hundred thousand hands are idle in Glasgow, and three hundred thousand throughout Scotland. Processions in tho streets carried banners declaring that higher rent? would not bs paid.
