ST. RONAN'S CHURCH

At the annual business and social meetlng of St. Bonan's Church tho secretary i report showed the church to ho in a. very prosperous condition. Under the ministry of the Eev. Gibson SwUii, the services had been well attended, and tho Sunday-school and Bible-class showed a fnarked injefenso in attendanco. The Ladies' Guild succeeded in raisinn the sum of £143. This with a grant of £14 10s. from the general fund, eriatiled the managers to repay the dent, of £157 which was owing on tho church property, thus leaving the church free of debt. The annual contribution of tho Sun. day-school and Bible-class was £20 to tlio Homo and Foreign Missions. An enjoyable programme was rendered by the following s—Misses Ohltty, Neismith, Black, K, Smith, V. Minitle, Pnagy Aitliens, Oonhie Marftn, Thclma Sheiii'er, Dorothy M'Coll, and Hevs. J. G. Smith and h, and Messrs. Manning, Burden, and Itrthur Burdon. Miss Nixon was the at'oompanlst. Owing tho ove'iing the secretary, Mr. Minifte, on behalf of tho conrregatioii. presented & of sovereigns to tho Rev. J. Gibson Smith ns a slight marK of 'appreciation of his valuable flffrv'ces, and made very feeling reference io the good fellowship exfstthg in the con.■"•ejation.
