ALL TRAINS TO LAMBTON STATION

MINISTER SAYS THIS NOT POSSIBLE. The old request that all trains run to '■ Lambtnn Station was repeated in a question by Mr. G. Mitchell, M.P;, to the Minister of Railways (Mr. Massey). The Minister's reply is as follows:—It is not practicable to deal with iboth the west coast and Wairarapa lines at Lnmbton Railway Station, the capacity of which is fully taxed at tho present time. Several additional platforms would be required, and the laying of these would necessitate the removal of Lambton goods yard and sheds and the sidings now used for accommodation of passenger rolling stock. No other site for this purpose is at present available.
