A NEW SCHOOL
'TO be built at miramar south. The tender of Messrs. Cnnmbell and Burke has been accepted by tho Education Board for the erection of a new 'school, at Miramar South. Thi9 is to be a six class-room school of brick and concrete, which will be erected on the site acquired by the board ft couple of ycnro a?o, on Broadway, just about opposite th« Miramar Goif Club's building (on the main Toad to Seatoun), The block surrounding the school is at present being roaded, and it is the intention of the syndicate interested to make the immediate locality a model suburb. The board intends the new school to be in every respect. Its existence will at once relievo the Marnnui School, by accommodating the children, from the eastern half of lulbirnio South and tho Boundary Heights, whilst on the other side it will relievo tho Worscr Bay School on the ton of the hill. The contract price is ,£15,490.
