ORGAN RECITAL

The organ recital given by tho City Organist (Mr. Bernard P. Page) in the llown Hall on Saturday night, consisted ol a special Tequcst programme, and those who attended were delighted with the excellence of the selections provided. The workp of Cesar Froficls were well represented Tn tho programme, which opened witn his sccond movement from Symphony in D Minor Allegiotto. This was admirably interpreted by Mr. page, who also played Franck's Pastorale (Op. 19). Choral (No. 2in ii Mflior), by I'ranck, wa3 an especially favourite number. An Andante (from string quartet) by 'Debussy was rendered with great feeling. Other items of the evening were taken from the writings of Warner, these being the prelude (Act I) lo "Irlstan and Isolde,'' and Isolde's "Mebestod" (from Act III).
