Simla, August 13. , In -view of the growth of secret political activity in Bagdad, a proclamation has been isued by Brigadier-General Sanders, commanding the Bagdad defences, to the psople of Bagdad, warning these agitators who have been summoning meetings regularly on religious pretexts—hut really to iriilamo the public ngainst Government and stir' up disorder—that all meetings for political purposes are henceforth forbidden, except under peimission of the military Governor or the political officers in Bagdad. A military court has been established to try all offendere against public order.
