The death roll is not yet ascertainable, 'Over a. hundred were sent to hospital. Many \vere wounded by fallingbombs. Many persons who were on fire in the streets saved themselves by immersion in the public fountains. An-at-tempt to blow up.a magazine at Mugnano, Tuscany, by setting fire to Adjacent woods, failed. Armed ■ bands assailed magazines at Piacenza and Catania. Tho military employed machine-guns in an all-night engagement, driving off tho attackers at daylight. Anarchists exploded bombs in several Milan restaurants. Four fire 9 which occurred in Genoa, Parma, Trieste, and San Antonio caused ■ a quarter of « million sterling damage, including the loss of much Government 6tores.
