The jury added that,the soldiers who fired should have been called to give evidence at the inquest. The Rector gave ev.idencei that when he heard bullets spattering the monastery walls, he called the brethren together. Father Morgan did not Tespond, and was found dead.in an upper corridor. The 'Rector, while approaching .with holy oils to ahnoint tut? foody, had a miraculous escape. The firing was repealed, and a bullet passed through the face of the body, which was subsequently dragged from the windows.
