A raoetin? of tho Council of the New Zealand Football Association wan held last evening, presided, over by Mr. 0. E. Fordham. The fnllnwinir officials wore appointed for tho Poverty Bay Drown Shield match: Heferee. Mr. G. Black (Chrlstchurch): linesmen. Messrs B. Jobbplih (Wellington) and P. Binnn (Poverty Bay). The Wellington Association bcinj holders forwarded a challenge for the Brow,n Shield in the event of their losing the shield. The Wanffanui Association also forwarded a challenge. Bath challenge* were accepted. The position of Brown Shield matches is now ns follows:—Wellington to nlny Poverty Bay on August 7. Tf still the holders to play Auckland on Aupust 28. Then the Wanrranui match will nrobalily be played on September 4, provided Wellington are still the holders. Wellington further advißed that they would play Wancanui in any case, and wore endeavouring to arrange a match with Auckland in Auckland. The secretary was instructed to thank tho W.P.A. for its efforts in endcavourinc to further tho game.
