Tlie trawler Tnnnpoter, which left Lvttelton on Monday night for Wostporf, put in at Knikoura yesterday to shelter.; This morning sho got adrift from her' moorings, mid became a total wreck. The Trumpeter was recently sold by Miller Brothers to Captain Jackson, of ■Wcstport. The trawler was .19ft. long | over all, tol»li rigged, and fitted with a 10 h.p. engine. Captain Stein was in cli.irgo of tho vessel from Lyttelton to Wcstport. The trawler Alone, belonging to Porry, a fisherman of Kaikonra, also drnygM her moci'ings in a big sea at Knikoura to-day, nnd was broken in half/ ■'
