ALLEGED INFANTICIDE

Following npon tlio discovery of the body of a newly-born child in an artificial Lake on private property at Hawera, the police arrested Mary Oyston M'Gregor, aged eighteen, charging her with murdering, about July 4, her infant female child. Tho girl was brought before a Justice of the Pe;v:e and remanded in custody till Wednesday.
