WAZIRISTAN EXPEDITION
AFRIDTS SURRENDERING RIFLES AND PAYING FINES. (Rec. July. 30, 7.15 p.m.) Delhi, July 29. In connection with the Waziristan expedition the Afridis continue to surrender their rifles nnd pay lines. A british picket was ambushed by recalcitrant tribesmen in the vicinity of Makin, and throe were l;:lled. Tho M'nhsud Waziris in the Khost district are settling down to r/jrimil conditions. -^Reuter.
