HATAITAI MUNICIPAL ELECTORS

The monthly meeting of tho Hataltai Munioipal Electors' Assoolation was held on Monday evening, Mr. A. D. Bayfield in the chair. The second issue of tho Greater Wellington Town-Planning Association's bulletin was received and discussed. Satisfaction was expressed that tho Reserves Committee of the City Council wero giving attention to the preparation of a plan of the Town Bolt, thereby enabling that area, being adequately developed. A report was received from the association's representative to the recent meeting of the Eastern Suburbs Citizens' League, and consideration was given to the proposed rules. It was decided to affiliate, and Messrs. Baylield, Gaudln, and Arcus were appointed tidegates for subsequent meetings. In viow of the fact that the City Council's loan schedule is in course of preparation, it wos decided to tender a requost to the council for a round table conference to disouss tho question of improved access to the eastern suburbs. .The sum of i? 12s. 6d., being net proceeds of a recent eocial evening, was allocated to various local bodies. The planting of the southern portion of the tunnel approach was very favourably commented on, and it was resolvrd that a letter of appreciation be sent the City.
