Sir.—ln Friday morning's Dominion Dr. Truby King is reported to liave said "that every grown-up child is worth .£SOO to the State," Now, can ho tell mo how much the lapdogs that some creatures who call themselves women are in the habit of carrying around in Ihcir arms or on a chain are worth ifco the Stato? where they should be nursing a' child. Could not Dr. Truby King impress on tlio Government that they should bring in a law compelling childless couples to adopt on© or two orphans (according to their means), and thereby assist the Siato in providing homes for tliesa children who through no fault of their own have no one to love or care for them P—l am, etc., A MOTHER.-
