INFECTIOUS DISEASE
CASES FOR THE WEEK. During the week ended noon yesterday, G8 cases of infectious diseases were reported in tho Wellington publio health district, a decrease of 14 compared with the figures for tho previous week. Hospital districts from which cases were reported were:—Waipawa: Diphtheria, B; cerebrospinal meningitis, 1. Palmerston North: Scarlet fever, 3; diphtheria, 1; tuberculosis, 1; pneumonia, 1; measles, 5. Wellington; Scarlet fever, Is diphtheria, G; tuberculosis, 3; iniiuonza, 4; pneumonia, 21; measles, 8; chicken-pox, 3. Wairarapa: Scarlet fever, 1; diphtheria, 1; eerebro-spinal meningitis, 1; chicken-pox, 3. Wairau: Diphtheria, 1. Nelson: Diphtheria, 3.
