RAILWAYMEN'S PAY
THE MONEY WAITING. i "Can the Minister of Finance give the House any idea when the railwaymen will bo paid.the extra money they have been granted?" ashed Mr. T. M. Gilford (Hull) in the House of Representatives yesterday. 1 ' "The Treasury is ready to pay it -"U----most at an hour's notice," replied Mr. Massey. "There are some slight formalities to be concluded as between the loco, men and the General Manager of Railways. When that is done, the money will be forthcoming, not only for 1 the' railwaymen, but probably for the other branches of the Public Service, There is no serious hitch. It only means a few days' delay."
