Reports from Chicago, state that the Third Party's Convention adopted' the, : following planks: Recognition, of the Irish Republic and tho Russian Soviet; public ownership of . railroads, stockyards, and other public utilities;- tho initiative, referendum, and recall; the adoption of the Gompers labour programme (which tho Republican and Democratic Conventions rejected); the repeal of all espionage laws- a. referendum in all wars save when the United States is 'invaded; .the withdrawal of United States troops from Europe; and soldiers' bonuses.—Aus.-N.Z.
