[A series of minor incidents between Belgians and Germans nt Spa culminated in ft midnight affray in n cafe. Tlio band played the British National Anthem, and tlio Germans sang a students' song set to tho same music. Later n giant Belgian cavalryman interrupted a merry German group and thrashed a German journalist named Stoklossa with a riding whip.]
