. &- • ATTACKS ON POLICE. London, July 11. During a three hours' attack on the Eathmore Police Barracks, a bomb killed Sereeant Wynne. Eight men attacked Sergeant Leery, and Constable Barry after obtaining the mail at the Eathdutf Post Office. Leery was'struck by four bullets.' and is in a critical' condition. The assailants took official letters. Sergeant Moonev, while returning • from Dunpow Post Office with letters, was critically wounded by two hundred pellets from a shotgun fired from a vacant Louse.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TOWNS FILLED WITH TROOPS. London, July 12. In view of to-day's celebrations, Belfast and other towns are filled with' troops, and there is little likelihood of 6erious trouble.
