Sir—The report in to-day's Dominion ] of the meeting held last evening .at Petone to protest against the Education. . j Department's decision to ereot a High' i School for the Hutt Valley at Wobum. i lioad, Lower Hutt, shows how utterly ; incapable • some of our public men are to act in the best interests of the public j as a whole. If Dr. Anderson is guilty , of the charge levcf.led against Mm, that. .'• lie is responsible for turning down the ; Percy eito and deciding for Wcburn Road, i he has every reason to be proud of Mm- • ■ self, and will receive the sTipnort of j every right-minded citizen in taking up 'this'attitude. The Petone representatives { have 6hown no regard for the interests —; »f the Valley generally, but have insisted ! that the school should l>e in the Petone borough'. To the impartial mind the 1 obviouslv central position of Woburn Road commends it-self at once, and to i place the school anywhere olso wow.d . Fhow a stranue, lank of perspicacity on . the part of'the Education Department .. Wobum Road wns the choice of Sir Francis Bell. The Hon.
