CHINESE IMMIGRANTS
Sir,—"Nine Chinese women landed from '. the 6.8. Moeraki on Tuesday, June 29." , ! Such was the pitiable news conveyed in' ' vour news columns of the next day. la i this fair land going, to bo overrun by : Asiatics? Is our heritage going to ha ■! filched from us? Is Parliament goingto dozo while the "wooden horse" is being ' pushed in? Is the prido, ivitli which our soldiers told the people of France and Palestine, that our country was a "white ! man's land," going to; be sullied by-a ■ yellow and brown invasion? j Every soldier who left New Zealand to 6ave it on the battlefield should ask the \ Government whv it lias let them down, and ffive a clear reason for it. We are on the certain road to create another , I California and British Columbia. What a j "gift" to hand to posterity !-I am, etc, \ COASTGUARD. i July 5, 1920. -.-j
